I was never a 68k in the army. However, I am a Clinical Laboratory Scientist in California as a Civilian which is the bachelor degree version of 68k I make $53 an hour + 5$ additional shift differential and have dirt cheap health insurance. I am not even at midpoint of my pay scale yet either. I did my 6 years in the Guard, then was sent to IRR. During IRR I decided I would go back in but only if I could change my MOS. That was put in my contract, I was put into a 68k slot in my current unit, which put in my application to 68K school.
